Innes Motors Points Scores are availaible (se the menu item "Sup Regs, Results, Points", Left hand side of page second from the top) Round 6 of the Innes Motors Victorian hillclimb championship have received over 100 entries. Another bumper hillclimb season in Victoria seems to have occured, and with only one more round after the Broadford event in just a couple of weeks time, the Victorian season is nerly over. With the final event being at the new "Haunted Hills" facility for its first ever championship event I expect that there could even be some interest from Interstate for that event. The early finish to the season will give the die hard Victorian hillclimbers a chance to focus their time in preperation of their attack on the Australian Hillclimb Championship at Bathurs in early November. I hope to see LOTS of people at Broadford this weekend. Sup regs for the final round have just been put up (14/07/2009). This will be the first ever Championship event at the new Haunted Hills facility run by the Gippsland Car Club. I expect to see you ALL there!! 2008 Calendar. Thanks to Brian Timms for passing this one to me. Some news from the Super Series organisers. Hillclimb Super Series The organisers of the 2008 Hillclimb Super Series regretfully advise that for reasons beyond our control the planned series for this year has been cancelled. It is the intention of the organizers to proceed with the series in 2009 as the spread of interstate dates is looking far more viable. The soon to be opened Haunted Hills venue in Victoria will be included in the 2009 series. This new venue looks like being an immediate “Must Do” Hillclimb and when combined with the Nations other top venues, the 2009 Super Series looks sensational. More information on dates, venues, and entry forms will be published early next year. We appreciate all Hillclimbers across the Nation being patient with the slow development of the series and hope that you will all join us in moving Hillclimbing forward by joining the series in 2009. Hillclimbing is the fastest way to the top. Those of you who are interested in Australias National Hillclimb Super Series should keep an eye on its website If you are interested in hillclimbing (and of course you are) but don't know were to start, then have a look under our growing "Contacts in Hillclimbing" section. If you are a member of a hillclimbing club (from anywhere in the world) and you do not see your club listed then please contact the Webmaster about becoming included. Thank you to CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) for a link to the hillclimb racing web site. |
